This programme is based on the prerequisites for LSE’s BSc Data Science programme and is taught by a data science tutor who teaches these subjects at Oxford and LSE.
This class is designed for those who want to impress admissions tutors by acquiring in-demand technical and research skills that look great on their CV. It is for ambitious students aiming to get into prestigious UK universities like Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial College London, UCL and others, for students who want to challenge themselves and improve their grasp of complex topics and to start to think in a multidisciplinary fashion, bringing together insights from social sciences, statistics, and data science.
This course lasts 20 days (6 days of classes followed by one rest day) and is designed to be taken as the sole academic undertaking for that period.

Do I need to have programming experience?
The requirements for this course are to have an advanced level of English (C1 and above) and to be an academically outstanding student. We will assess your English proficiency during the initial interview.
There is no requirement to have programming skills—this is a course for beginners, but anyone who has had some experience studying ICT or coding is also welcome to join. These students will be given extra challenging problems to push themselves and will be expected to take on more technically challenging final projects.
